Yes on Measure K campaign logo

Measure K (2010) · Local schools parcel tax

Passed. A Fremont Unified School District parcel tax approved on November 2, 2010 in Alameda County.

The tax was $53 per parcel, per year, for five years. With 53,871 parcels in the school district at the time of the vote, school officials estimated the tax would generate close to $13 million over the five-year period.


Yes on Measure E campaign logo (2014 FUSD school bond)

Measure E (2014) · $650M school bond

Passed June 3, 2014 with 61.5% voter approval.

A $650 million general obligation bond to renovate aging FUSD campuses. Measure E funded school renovations and repairs, classroom technology upgrades, safety code compliance, asbestos removal, and replacement of outdated equipment district-wide.


Yes on Measure I campaign logo (2016 FUSD parcel tax)

Measure I (2016) · Local education parcel tax

Passed. A Fremont Unified School District parcel tax approved on June 7, 2016 in Alameda County, with 70.28% voter approval.

Measure I replaced the expiring Measure K parcel tax, raising the rate from $53 to $73 per parcel per year for nine years. With a required two-thirds threshold, it passed with 27,145 yes votes (70.28%) to 11,477 no votes (29.72%). The tax was designed to generate approximately $3.9 million per year for the district, which served 33,887 students across 48 schools.


Measure L (2020) · $296/parcel education parcel tax

Did not pass. A majority of Fremont voters supported Measure L on March 3, 2020, but parcel taxes in California require a two-thirds supermajority to pass.

Measure L would have raised approximately $18.3 million per year for FUSD by levying a $296 annual tax per parcel. The measure was designed to restore budget cuts, attract and retain highly qualified teachers, expand STEAM programs, and protect instruction in core subjects.


Yes on Measure M campaign logo (2024 FUSD $919M school bond)

Measure M (2024) · $919M school bond

Passed November 5, 2024 with over 62% voter approval.

A $919 million general obligation bond to modernize FUSD’s aging campuses. Measure M funds upgrades to classroom equipment and technology, roof replacements, safety improvements, and the conversion of portable classrooms to permanent facilities district-wide. Every dollar stays in Fremont and is overseen by an independent citizen bond oversight committee.
